Due ballerini, Jim Hardy e Ted Hanover, sono innamorati tutti e due della loro partner, Lila Dixon. La ragazza preferisce accettare la corte di Ted e Jim si ritira dallo spettacolo. Apre un albergo aperto unicamente nei giorni di festa che chiama Holiday Inn. Ben presto, Jim si innamora della sua socia, Linda Mason, che si rivela anche una eccellente ballerina e cantante. Passa qualche tempo e Lila lascia Ted. Questi viene nell'albergo dove ritrova il suo vecchio partner. La sera danza, ubriaco, con Linda. Il giorno dopo, Ted non ricorda più con chi ha ballato ma pensa che la sconosciuta potrebbe essere un ottimo rimpiazzo per Lila. Si mette a cercarla dappertutto, ma Jim gli nasconde - per gelosia - che si tratti della sua collega. Alla fine Ted riesce a trovare Linda, se ne innamora e la convince a fare del cinema. When Jim first plays "White Christmas" with Linda at the inn, he sits down to play a piano. However, there is no piano present on the audio track. <br>------------------------<br><br>When Jim Hardy plays the bells on the Christmas tree at Holiday Inn, he hits the two bells twice, but in both cases, gets different tones the second time. This happens again, almost identically, when Linda Mason plays the bells on the movie set. <br>------------------------<br><br>The telegram that Ted Hanover receives from Jim Hardy on Christmas Eve is dated December 25th. <br>------------------------<br><br>The calendars shown for the last part of the film are from 1942, except for November, which is from 1941. The progression of calendars goes December 1941, February 1942, April 1942, July 1942, November 1941, and December 1942. This November calendar portrays the second-to-last vs. fourth Thursday Thanksgiving day confusion, started in 1939 by presidential proclamation, and cleared up by congressional legislation in 1941 for the 1942 calendar. <br>------------------------<br><br>When Lila gives Linda a lift to Holiday Inn, Linda gets in the car, sits down, and starts to close the door. In the next shot, Linda hops into the car again. <br>------------------------<br><br>Jim leaves his jacket in Ted's room before the first wedding. Although he doesn't pick it up, he has it when he goes into the studio. <br>------------------------<br><br>Linda loses her hat in the pond when she is with Gus. Although she isn't seen finding the hat, she has it on when she and Lila are driving. <br>------------------------<br><br>When Jim enters Ted's Hollywood dressing room, he has his pipe on the left side of this mouth. The next shot shows it on the right side, although he has had neither time enough, or his hands free to move it. <br>------------------------<br><br>In one of the final scenes, the Hollywood set of the inn, Jim Hardy sets his pipe down on the piano. A few minutes later, when Linda Mason reaches for it to tap the bells of the Christmas tree, it has changed position. <br>------------------------<br><br>When Danny Reed identifies Linda as "The girl in the flower shop!", he is pointing at her with his left hand. In the next shot his arm is down by his side. <br>------------------------<br><br>During the opening shot Ted Hanover gets out of a cab in front of the night club. Three little boys are playing the harmonica and dancing. They are dancing to "Singing A Song Of Freedom" whichJim Hardy does not write until the Fourth of July more than a year later. <br>------------------------<br><br>While Jim and Linda are first singing "White Christmas," at the end of the song the fire behind them appears to explode. <br>------------------------<br><br>The April calendar preceding Easter Parade clearly has a 31 after the 30th, though April does not have 31 days. A bunny's head hides the digit "1", but the "3" of the "31" is clearly visible. <br>------------------------<br><br>During the "Easter Parade" number it is clear that the backgrounds are painted and placed behind a few "real" trees and bushes. This is especially noticeable in Hi-Def. <br>------------------------<br><br>
