Jim Beale e il suo team di fisici hanno inventato un dispositivo estremamente popolare, una macchina in grado di attraversare spazio e tempo. Quando ha davanti una rara dalia proveniente dal futuro, Jim deve trovare la corrispondenza identica a quel fiore per dimostrare come funziona la sua invenzione. Ben presto, scopre che la dalia è nelle mani di Abby, una misteriosa ragazza che lo induce a rivelare i suoi segreti. It was incorrectly considered a mistake that when Matty entered the wrong sequence it should have triggered a thermonuclear explosion. When John said this would occur, it was in one universe, but when it actually happened, it was in a different parallel universe. Things were slightly different in the parallel universe and this could have been one of the differences. <br>------------------------<br><br>At the start of the movie, Jim Beale chastises Matty for causing a thermonuclear explosion for not turning the switch correctly after loading the 'fake MRD' into the chamber. Later in the movie, Matty fails to turn the switch correctly after loading the actual substance into the chamber, yet no thermonuclear explosion occurs. <br>------------------------<br><br>
