Plot | Cast | Goofs | Synopsis

Bessie, che vive con padre e zia anziani ed ammalati, scopre di avere la leucemia. Cerca allora di reincontrare la sorella che non vede da vent'anni. Costei arriva con due figli, di cui uno psichicamente disturbato. Sarà lui a consentire una vera riappacificazione tra le due donne. Il cumulo di disgrazie che affligge i protagonisti sembra decisamente un po' eccessivo.

Early in the film, when Meryl Streep's character visits a psychiatrist. The boom mic is visible twice in the psychiatrist's scenes. <br>------------------------<br><br>When Lee and Bessie are waiting in the retirement home, when Lee says "I feel like my life is finally starting" you can see the boom mic in the top left hand corner, above her head. <br>------------------------<br><br>When Hank and Charlie are meeting Aunt Ruth for the first time, when the camera angle is looking out from the garage, when Aunt Ruth says the line "Now which of you fine boys is in the mental institution?" you can seem the boom mic in between Hank, Charlie and Bessie to the left and Aunt Ruth and Lee to the right. <br>------------------------<br><br>The position of Hank's arm with potato chip changes between shots. <br>------------------------<br><br>As Meryl Streep's character is packing her suitcase in a hurry, she grabs an article of clothing off the wall and the clock can be seen falling. In the next scene she is grabbing another article of clothing off the wall and the clock is back in place. <br>------------------------<br><br>Bessie's left hand jumps from next to Marvin to his chest as she smacks the bed with her right hand. <br>------------------------<br><br>After Lee walks in the house, the low camera angle shows her arm down and bag at her side. In the next shot, her arm is up and bag is at waist height. <br>------------------------<br><br>Near the end of the film, a black piece of cardboard is simply used for the photograph Lee notices of her mother while she is in the kitchen. <br>------------------------<br><br>
