Il nobile Giuda Ben-Hur, falsamente accusato di un tentato assassinio da parte del fratello adottivo Messala, dopo essere sopravvissuto ad anni di schiavitù sotto il giogo dei Romani, pianificherà la sua vendetta.

In the opening scene Judah and Messala are racing horses with saddles having stirrups which weren't introduced into Europe for another 700 or 800 years. <br>------------------------<br><br>When Esther is with Ben-Hur at the marketplace, she is wearing modern pants. <br>------------------------<br><br>After being dragged on his belly on the dusty ground during the chariot race, when Ben-Hur climbs back into the chariot his tunic is clean. <br>------------------------<br><br>When Judah holds the small sword at the throat of the Roman after his arrest, it is right up against his skin. In the flashback later in the movie, the sword is much lower and not directly against his throat. <br>------------------------<br><br>Even though, in Ben-Hur, Jesus Christ lives, works and preaches in Jerusalem, in fact Jesus went to Jerusalem only three times in his life: 1.When he was a baby, he was presented to the Temple in Jerusalem, 2. When he was 12 years old, he was found by his mother teaching in the Temple, when his family has visited Jerusalem for the Jewish Easter, 3. When he was 33 years old, he makes a triumphal entrance into Jerusalem and a week later he was crucified. Jesus lived in Nazareth and he was preaching mainly in Galilee. <br>------------------------<br><br>The opening sets the date as "33 A.D.", but the grammatically correct way to date years after the birth of Jesus is A.D. 33 ("Anno Domini 33"). Only B.C., or the more contemporary BCE, are listed after the year. <br>------------------------<br><br>Some of the clothes have been obviously manufactured with modern techniques. <br>------------------------<br><br>
